Kovacs was the ace up head coach Peg Worthington’s sleeve as the middle hitter was a prolific threat for the Bison women’s volleyball team, especially when serving. The four-year letterwinner still holds the CAC career mark for service aces per game/set (0.82 per set). She was named the 1995 CAC Player of the Year, earned two All-CAC first team selections (1994,’95) and two American Volleyball Coaches Association all-region accolades (1994, ’95). Her single season service aces totals rank second (111 service aces in 1995) and fourth (104,’94) in CAC history along with her aces per game/set totals of 0.96 (1994) and 0.90 (1995) that rank third and fourth,respectively, in conference history. Kovacs has other CAC single-season marks for total blocks (244, ’93, ranks fourth overall), kills per game (5.02, ’95, fifth) and kills (617,’95, ninth). Kovacs was a member of two CAC championship teams (1992, ’95).
