Lexow named to the All-ECAC Women's Basketball Second Team

DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2024-25 Division III Women's Basketball All-ECAC teams and major award winners and Gallaudet University had one student-athlete selected to one of the two teams. Graduate student guard/forward Cam Lexow (Abington, Pa.) was selected to the All-ECAC Second Team for the first time in her career.

Lexow was recently named a finalist for the 2025 Jostens Trophy, awarded to the outstanding NCAA Division III men's and women's basketball players who excel on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. The second year member of the GU women's basketball program was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 4 Third Team earlier this week. In addition to her United East Defensive Player of the Year award, Lexow received a second straight selection to the All-United East First Team. Lexow helped Gallaudet win the United East championship and make its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2011.

Lexow is the fourth Gallaudet women's basketball player to earn All-ECAC honors. She joins Cassidy Perry (2022-23 - Second Team, 2023-24 - First Team), Lindsay Stergio (2013-14 Upstate Region - Second Team) and Easter Fa'afiti (2009-10, 2010-11 South Region - First Team). Fa'afiti was picked the 2010-11 ECAC Division III South Player of the Year.

Lexow is the only honoree from the United East on either team for the 2024-25 season.

Baruch College junior guard Mia Castillo was named ECAC Division III Women's Basketball Player of the Year and earned a spot on the first team. United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) forward Carolae Barton was voted the ECAC Division III Women's Basketball Rookie of the Year. Barton's coach Alexa Shields was tabbed as the ECAC Division III Women's Basketball Coach of the Year as USMMA posted an impressive 24-3 overall record and 20-0 mark in Skyline Conference play. The Mariners lost its conference championship but still earned an at-large bid into the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.

Student-athletes are nominated by their Athletic Communications/Sports Information Directors to the ECAC to be eligible to be selected to the All-ECAC teams.
