LATHAM, N.Y. - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team was picked 12th in the 2026 United East preseason coaches poll released on Thursday.
Gallaudet posted a 1-13 overall record last season and went 1-7 in conference play.
St. Mary's College of Maryland was picked as the top team as the Seahawks garnered seven first-place votes and 116 total points. Defending United East champion Penn State Harrisburg checks in at No. 2 in the poll as the Lions received three first-place votes and 109 points. Penn State Abington received two first-place votes and 96 points as the Nittany Lions are No. 3 in the preseason poll. Penn College of Technology is fourth in the poll with 86 points. Lancaster Bible College rounds out the Top 5 in this year's preseason poll.
The 2026 United East men's soccer championship will consist of eight teams in the postseason. The quarterfinals will be held on Oct. 31 with the semifinals on Nov. 3. The final two teams will square off on Saturday, Nov. 7, to determine the conference champion.
The Bison will host Stevenson University on Friday, Sept. 4, at 5 p.m. at Hotchkiss Field in the season opener.

The preseason poll rankings were conducted by the United East men's soccer coaches, with each coach ranking out all teams but their own using a staggered points system (12 points for a first-place vote, 11 points for second, etc.). No self-voting was allowed. This is the first year the United East has held preseason polls.
