LATHAM, N.Y. - Gallaudet University first-year
Tori Cushshon (St.Louis, Mo.) was named to the 2025-26 United East Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Sportsmanship Team as announced by the conference office.
The United East All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. Student-athletes selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. Each individual has been chosen by their coach as a representative who embodies the Division III spirit.
Cushshon joins four other student-athletes, a representative from each conference member, on the All-Sportsmanship Team. At the 2026 United East Indoor Track & Field Championship, she placed 11th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 11.43 seconds. In the throwing events, Cushshon competed in the shot put and finished eighth with a personal-record throw of 9.18 meters (30 feet, 1.4 inches) on her first attempt.
The five student-athletes are ambassadors for their teams, both on and off the course, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. They exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.
