LANDOVER, Md. – A trio of Gallaudet University women's indoor track runners competed at the Cardinal Track and Field Classic hosted by The Catholic University of America here Saturday at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Center just outside of the District of Columbia. This was a sneak peek of the facility that will host the 2026 United East Indoor Track & Field Championships next month.
Sophomore
Olivia Armstrong (Rotterdam, N.Y.) finished 37th in the 1-mile run with a time of seven minutes and 7.50 seconds. First year
Jala Furdge (Brandon, Miss.) was one place behind Armstrong in 38th with a time of 7:45.21.
First year
Tori Cushshon (St. Louis, Mo.) sprinted in the 60-meter dash preliminaries and posted a time of 11.33 seconds to take 40th.
First year
Sara Duncan (Mesa, Ariz.) was scratched from the shot put event.
UP NEXT
GU will head south to Bridgewater (Va.) College next Saturday, Jan. 24, to participate in the Shane Stevens Winter Invitational.
