Bison men's soccer ranked in United East preseason coaches poll

LATHAM, N.Y. - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team was picked 13th in the United East preseason coaches poll released on Wednesday.

Gallaudet posted a 2-14 overall record last season and went 1-7 in conference play.

Two-time defending conference champion St. Mary's College of Maryland was picked as the top team as the Seahawks garnered nine first-place votes. Penn State Harrisburg, who won three consecutive United East titles before St. Mary's run, checks in at No. 2 in the poll as the Lions received three first-place votes. Penn State Abington enters the 2025 season after posting a 7-0-1 mark in conference play last season as the Nittany Lions are No. 3 in the preseason poll. Cairn University is fourth in the poll as it received one first-place vote. Lancaster Bible College rounds out the Top 5 in this year's preseason poll. 

The 2025 United East men's soccer championship will consist of 10 teams in the postseason. The first round will be held on Oct. 28 with the quarterfinals on Nov. 1 followed by the semifinals on Nov. 5. The final two teams will square off on Saturday, Nov. 8, to determine the conference champion.

The Bison will host Regent University on Friday, Aug. 29, at 4 p.m. at Hotchkiss Field in the season opener as GU hosts the Tristan Torbett Kick-Off Classic.
