Bison go up against Marymount in midweek contest

WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team got shut out for the fourth straight game here Wednesday night as Marymount (Va.) University won 6-0 under the lights at Hotchkiss Field. 

Gallaudet (0-7) played defense the entire game as it was held without a shot for the second consecutive contest.

Marymount (3-5-2) was led by midfielder Laney Placido (two goals, two assists), who scored the game's first goal just two minutes and 35 seconds into the first half. Placido assisted the third and fourth goals and found the back of the net at the 58:34 mark in the second half to complete the six-point performance. 

The Saints led 3-0 at the half and finished the game with 43 shots and four corner kicks.

Gallaudet goalie Payton DeGraw (Salt Lake City, Utah) finished the game with 16 saves.
