GU's Ashley Harlicker picked to the 2023 All-ECAC Women's Soccer Second Team

DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) recently announced its 2023 Division III Women's Soccer All-ECAC teams and major award winners which included one Gallaudet University student-athlete honored on the Second Team list.

Gallaudet junior midfielder Ashley Harlicker (Shenandoah, Texas) was selected for the All-ECAC Second Team for the first time in her career.

The All-ECAC honor is the first for the Gallaudet women's soccer program.

The midfielder was recognized for her hard work this season, which resulted in 12 goals scored and 24 points recorded. Harlicker was selected as the United Soccer Coaches Division III Women's Soccer College Player of the Week back on Sept. 13 and was United East Player of the Week - Volt Division on Sept. 11.

Gallaudet is the only United East program from the conference to have a player on either team.

The Bison wrapped up the 2023 season with a 4-11 record overall and 0-6 record in conference play.

The University of Hartford won two major awards, in Imani Jenkins as the ECAC Offensive Player of the Year and Head Coach John Natale selected as the  ECAC Coach of the Year. Kristi Buckenheimer of Penn State Behrend brought home ECAC Defensive Player of the Year accolades and Chloe LaRosa was picked as ECAC Rookie of the Year.
