WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team lost 9-2 to Trinity Washington University here Wednesday afternoon. Gallaudet (0-3) made the short trip over to the Brentwood neighborhood to face the Tigers.

Junior goalie Payton DeGraw (Salt Lake City, Utah) started the game in net and made seven saves in the first half as Trinity scored three times.

In the second half, DeGraw moved to forward and got GU on the scoreboard. DeGraw scored a goal in the 60th minute to cut the Tigers lead to four, 5-1. After a few more Trinity goals, DeGraw netted her second goal on a penalty kick chance in the 81st minute and scored as the Bison trailed 8-2. Trinity added one more goal in the final minutes.

Gallaudet will begin conference play this weekend as it host SUNY Morrisville and Wells Colege. The Bison will kick things off against the Mustangs on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 1 p.m.
