Box Score WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference game, 2-0, Wednesday night to Penn State Mont Alto at Hotchkiss Field.
Gallaudet (1-8) had a few chances in the second half as the Bison tallied seven shots, four on goal, but could not find the back of the net.
Penn St. Mont Alto (8-2) scored early into the second half on a goal by Madison Blyler. The visitors added a second goal at the 72:30 mark when Shania Atherton netted her first goal of the season with a shot from 35 yards out.
The Bison started Payton DeGraw (Salt Lake City, Utah) in goal and the sophomore made eight saves and kept things scoreless through the first half. In the second half, freshman Lilian Nelson (Minneapolis, Minn.) came into the game as goalie while DeGraw moved to forward. Nelson (0-3) made eight saves in net during the final 45 minutes of play while DeGraw recorded four shots, three on goal.
