Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Gallaudet University men's soccer team became only the fourth conference team to score a goal against Morrisville State College, the defending North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) champion, here on a frigid Sunday. The Bison dropped the 4-1 game to the Mustangs as the teams battled winds, some light snow showers and dropping temperatures.
Morrisville (9-3-2, 8-1-1 NEAC) has played 10 NEAC teams, so far, this season and only surrendered a goal to three prior conference foes entering today's game.
Gallaudet (1-12-2, 0-10 NEAC) scored the fifth goal against the Mustangs in conference play when sophomore Tim Artinian (Henrietta, N.Y.) made a nice move past a defender to net his first collegiate goal and put GU on the scoreboard at the 49:37 mark. Sophomore Connor Baer (Fremont, Calif.) assisted on Artinian's goal.
The Mustangs built a 3-0 lead in the first half, highlighted by the seventh goal of the season from Julian Rodridguez (one goal, one assist).
Morrisville added one insurance goal in the 71st minute to cap the scoring in the game.
