Livengood stands tall in net to keep Bison in game against Lancaster Bible

Box Score

WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team held the second-best team in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) to only two goals Saturday at Hoy Field but the Bison were held scoreless in a 2-0 defeat.

The Bison (2-11, 1-6 NEAC) were shutout for the third straight game but they remained in the game thanks to Gallaudet's defense led by senior goalie Jennifer Livengood (Jacksonville, Fla.). The Chargers (7-5, 6-1 NEAC) scored an early goal, in the 10th minute, but didn't score again for 70 minutes. Livengood turned away six of her season-high 14 saves in the first half.

The Chargers made both of their shots on unassisted plays. Freshman Maddie Dionne made the first goal in under 10 minutes 1-on-1 with Livengood from the top of the box. Junior Kirsten Webster scored her ninth goal of the season unassisted in the second half with nearly 10 minutes left of play.
