Arrigo nets first goal of the season in loss to Morrisville St.

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Gallaudet University women's soccer program dropped Sunday's away game against Morrisville State 3-1 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game. Junior forward Johanna Arrigo (Ewing, N.J.) scored her first goal of the season in the seventh minute to tie the game 1-1.

Morrisville (3-9-1, 2-7-1 NEAC) got on the scoreboard two minutes in on fast break goal by Erin Rundle. She later put the Mustangs up for good on her second goal of the game off an assist from Krista Baxter in the 20th minute. Morrisville took the 2-1 advantage into halftime.

In the second half, Baxter scored an unassisted goal three minutes in to give the Mustangs a 3-1 lead.

Gallaudet (2-11, 2-7) kept the shots close in the first half as the Bison took 10 to Morrisville's 13. The Mustangs held an overall 31-16 advantage in shots. Senior goalie Casey McCullough (Oceanside, Calif.) made 12 saves in the loss while her counterpart Jennifer Zidzik stopped 10 Bison shots.

The Bison will host Penn St.-Berks on Friday, October 21, at 7 p.m. in the annual Homecoming game at Hotchkiss Field.
