Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. – For the second
straight game the Gallaudet University men's soccer team
surrendered 10 goals as the Bison lost 10-1 on Tuesday night at
Hotchkiss Field against Marymount (Va.) University.
Gallaudet (1-10) fell behind early as Marymount (5-6-1) got on
the board with two goals in the opening 13 minutes of play. Junior
midfielder Kjell Crooke (two goals, one assist) then netted
back-to-back goals to send the Saints into halftime up 4-0.
The second half saw five different Saints score a goal including
two marks from Cherif Moktefi and a goal and two assists from Onar
Yousefi.
The Bison got on the board in the 80th minute when Casey
Williams (Colorado Springs, Colo.) entered the game
and promptly scored his first goal of the season.
Marymount outshot Gallaudet 38-3 and took 15 corner kicks.
Junior goalie Poloko
Qobose (Gaborone, Botswana) made nine saves in 69
minutes of play where he allowed eight goals. Freshman Jordan
Ramser (Louisville, Ky.) closed out the game where he
made four saves and allowed two goals.
GU will next host Lancaster Bible College on Thursday, October
7, at 7:30 p.m.
