Box Score

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team lost 7-0 to Marymount (Va.) University on a cool and windy Wednesday evening at Hotchkiss Field. The Bison continue to search for their first Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) victory this season while the Saints remain on the heels of the top three teams in the conference standings.

Gallaudet (0-13, 0-5 CAC) sophomore goalie Poloko Qobose (Gaborone, Botswana) made 14 saves in the loss.

Marymount (7-4-1, 3-1 CAC) was led by Cherif Moktefi and Adam Freitas (one assist) who both scored two goals apiece. The Saints didn't take long to strike as sophomore forward Santos Cerda scored his first goal of the season less then three minutes into the game. The goal was the 100th allowed by Qobose this season.

The Saints outshot the Bison 37-3 and took nine corner kicks. GU had one corner kick in the game.

Gallaudet will try for its first win of the season on Saturday, October 10, at Soutern Virginia University in Buena Vista, Va., at 4 p.m. GU's last victory came against SVU back on October 21, 2006, a streak of 49 consecutive losses.
