forward Lindsay McNeal scored three goals to lead the Lions past
the Gallaudet University women's soccer team, 4-0, on a frigid
Saturday evening at Hotchkiss Field before 25 brave fans who sat
through a Nor'easter. Sheets of rain fell throughout the game as
the teams played through the elements.
Gallaudet (5-10-1) was led by freshman Shaquana

the team's nine shots. McDonough placed five shots on goal but
couldn't get one past Lion goalie Brittany Adams (six saves).
Penn State Harrisburg (12-2) is the top team in the North
Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), the new conference Gallaudet
will join next year.
The Lions scored the game's first goal nine minutes in as
Corinne Mazzotta scored on a left-foot shot into the lower corner
past Bison goalie Kara Gulvas (Crown Point, Ind.).
Mazzotta then assisted McNeal on her first of three goals in the
22nd minute. McNeal's hard shot went through the hands of Gulvas
(16 saves) and into the net. Penn State Harrisburg led 2-0 at the
break.
In the second half, McNeal netted two goals in the 73rd and 80th
minute, respectively. Both goals were assisted by Allison Collins.
The Lions outshot Gallaudet 39-9 and took two more corner kicks,

October 22, to face Salisbury University in a Capital Athletic
Conference game at 4 p.m.
