WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University women's triathlon program enters its third season in 2026 with its largest and most experienced roster to date as the Bison continue to build the young program.
Gallaudet returns six triathletes from last year's squad while welcoming six newcomers to give the Bison a 12-member roster. Junior
Alecia Miller (Litchfield, Ill.) becomes the program's first third-year student-athlete after being part of the team since its inaugural 2024 season.
The Bison enter the season ranked No. 8 in the College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) Division III preseason coaches poll.
Gallaudet competed in five events during the fall portion of the 2025 season before concluding the academic year with the Smithfield Sprint Triathlon last March. The Bison return several experienced competitors and have added another group of newcomers as the program continues to increase its roster size and depth.
The 2026 season will also feature another program milestone as Gallaudet hosts a competition on campus for the first time. The Bison welcome No. 7 Eastern Mennonite University to Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Sept. 6, at 8:30 a.m.
Below is a breakdown of the 2026 Gallaudet women's triathlon team.
2025 Review
Highlight: Gallaudet opened the 2025 season with a third-place team finish at the Patriots Triathlon Festival in Williamsburg, Va., an improvement from its fourth-place showing at the same event during its inaugural season.
Ashley Corcoran (Broussard, La.) represented Gallaudet at the Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships in Tempe, Ariz., where her individual finish provided the Bison with enough points to place 10th in the Division III team standings.
TOP RETURNERS
Hope MacPeek (Russellville, Ark.), So.
MacPeek made her Gallaudet triathlon debut last spring at the Smithfield Sprint Triathlon and immediately led the Bison. She was GU's top finisher with a time of 1:19:55 despite challenging weather and course conditions. MacPeek enters the fall looking to build off the strong start to her collegiate triathlon career.
Alecia Miller (Litchfield, Ill.), Jr.
Miller enters her third season with the program and is the first Gallaudet triathlete to reach her junior season after joining the Bison for their inaugural campaign in 2024. Her experience provides an important veteran presence for a roster that features six newcomers.
Melissa Eicher (Indianapolis, Ind.), So.
Eicher made her collegiate triathlon debut last spring at the Smithfield Sprint Triathlon and finished in 1:22:55. She was GU's third finisher and crossed the line only 48 seconds behind Corcoran (1:22:07). Eicher will look to build on that experience during her first full fall season with the Bison.

Ashley Corcoran (Broussard, La.)
Corcoran was Gallaudet's top triathlete throughout the 2025 fall season and represented the Bison at the Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships. She was GU's top finisher in each race during the fall and helped the Bison finish 10th nationally.

The Bison have five regular-season competitions before the East Regional Championship with an opportunity for qualifying individuals to advance to the Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships.
Gallaudet opens the season Sunday, Sept. 6, when it hosts the Bison Super Sprint Triathlon on campus at 8:30 a.m. The historic event will mark the first home competition in the three-year history of the program as the Bison welcome Eastern Mennonite to Kendall Green. The event has since been modified to an Aquabike format featuring swimming and cycling.
GU will then compete on three consecutive Sundays away from home. The Bison return to the Patriots Triathlon Festival in Williamsburg, Va., on Sept. 13 before heading to the Robious Landing Triathlon in Midlothian, Va., on Sept. 20.
Gallaudet closes September with its longest regular-season trip when it travels west to compete in the Desert's Edge Triathlon at Highline Lake State Park in Loma, Colo., on Sept. 27.
The Bison conclude the regular season closer to home at the Navy Collegiate Cup in Annapolis, Md., on Oct. 4. After a weekend away from competition, GU will travel to Buford, Ga., for the East Regional Championship on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8, at Tempe Town Lake North Park in Tempe, Ariz., for those who qualify.
