VERMILLION, S.D. – The Gallaudet University women's triathlon team was ranked No. 8 in the 2026 College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) preseason coaches poll for Division III programs.
Gallaudet enters its third season as a varsity program after finishing 10th overall at the 2025 Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships in Tempe, Ariz. The Bison were ranked No. 7 in last year's CTCA preseason poll.
Four-time defending Division III national champion North Central (Ill.) College begins the season ranked No. 1. Trine University is No. 2 followed by Willamette University, Central College and Concordia University Wisconsin to round out the top five.
Eastern Mennonite University is ranked No. 7, one spot ahead of Gallaudet. The two nationally-ranked programs will meet Sunday, Sept. 6, when the Bison host their first home competition in program history
