LATHAM, N.Y. – The United East Conference announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for March 23 and Gallaudet University sophomore outside hitter
Zachary Bippus (Fishers, Ind.) was named the Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
Bippus had 24 kills, 14 digs, five blocks and four aces in two victories for the Bison last Saturday at home. Bippus had 12 kills in each of GU's 3-0 wins, which included a conference win over Saint Elizabeth. Bippus made nine digs, two blocks and three aces against the Eagles. He completed the week with 12 kills, five digs, three blocks and one ace against Penn St.-Schuylkill.
Lancaster Bible junior Carson Hoover was named the United East Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week after recorded 10 service aces and 14 kills during a 2-0 week.
GU HONORS
This is Gallaudet's fourth United East Men's Volleyball Player of the Week honors this season. This is the third United East weekly honor for Bippus in his volleyball career.
