AUSTIN, Texas – Sophomore guard/forward Cam Lexow (Abington, Pa.) of Gallaudet University was selected to the 2024-25 Academic All-America® Division III Women's Basketball Second Team, as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Lexow is one of 15 honorees named to three different teams from around the country in Division III women's basketball where over 440 schools field teams. She was the only representative from the United East Conference. Lexow makes her first appearance on the CSC Academic All-America® Division III Women's Basketball teams.
The 15 members of the 2024-25 Academic All-America® Division III Women's Basketball teams have at least a 3.53 grade point average (GPA), with three student-athletes (including Lexow) maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA. The five members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.89, with the entire Division III team retaining a collective average GPA of 3.85.
Lexow, a psychology major, has a 4.00 grade point average at Gallaudet, the world's only university with programs and services specifically designed to accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students. The 5-foot-10 guard/forward is a second year member of the GU women's basketball team and is in graduate school at GU. Lexow received her undergraduate degree from University of Virginia where she played on the women's soccer team. Lexow was one of 10 finalists for the 2024-25 Jostens Trophy, awarded to the outstanding NCAA Division III men's and women's basketball players who excel on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. She was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region Third Team, All-ECAC Second Team and played in the 2025 WBCA Division III Senior All-Star Game last month. In addition to her United East Defensive Player of the Year award, Lexow received a second straight selection to the All-United East First Team. Lexow concludes her GU career with 813 points, 309 rebounds, 205 assists, 173 steals and 99 blocks in 56 games (54 starts).

The other first team honorees include; Burns, Kacie Carollo (Wis.-Whitewater), Lauren Huber (Ill. Wesleyan), Kasey Schipfer (Ohio Wesleyan) and Zoë Tomlinson (Colorado College).
To be eligible for College Sports Communicators Academic honors, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at their current institution and be nominated by their athletic communicator/sports information director. Twenty of the 22 honors have come in the last 14 years as GU earned at least one every year for six years straight (2012-17).
