WASHINGTON – Former Gallaudet University women's basketball standout and current Bison assistant coach
Cam Lexow continues to make an impact on the hardwood this summer as a member of the Maryland Monarchs of the Women's American Basketball Association (WABA).
The Maryland Monarchs compete in the WABA's North Lower Conference and feature some of the top collegiate and regional talent from across the Mid-Atlantic. The team plays its home games at St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, Maryland.
Lexow, a guard, joined the Monarchs for the 2026 WABA season, which began in July, and is one of several former collegiate standouts competing in the professional women's summer league.
During her playing career at Gallaudet, Lexow developed into one of the Bison's most dependable guards. After graduating, she remained with the program as an assistant coach, where she now helps mentor the next generation of Gallaudet student-athletes while continuing to compete at a high level during the offseason.
The opportunity with the Monarchs allows Lexow to continue developing her game against elite competition while bringing that experience back to the Bison program.
The Women's American Basketball Association (WABA) provides opportunities for collegiate graduates and professional-caliber players to continue competing while promoting the growth of women's basketball throughout the United States.
