FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced its weekly honors for the week of Oct. 19 and Gallaudet University senior wide receiver/return specialist
Andrae' Green (Washington, D.C.) was picked as Special Teams Player of the Week.
Green, a senior from Washington, D.C., earned his second ODAC weekly special teams award of the season following Gallaudet's 73-13 setback at Bridgewater. Green, who rarely takes a play off as a receiver, defensive back, punter, and kick returner for the Bison, set a program-record with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against the Eagles. It was his third career kickoff return for a score and eclipsed his previous-best spring of 91 yards in 2023. Green's new mark is only the fifth return of 99 or more yards in the ODAC since 2015 and is the first 99-yard return in Division III this season trailing eight 100-yard bursts on the national list. Green finished the day with 192 all-purpose yards with 30 yards receiving and 19 yards rushing to go with 143 on returns. He also punted eight times for a 33.2 average per kick including a game-high 67-yard boot. For the season, Green is averaging 26.1 yards and 18 kick returns. He is averaging 32.2 yards on 21 punts. On offense, he has caught 13 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown. On defense, he has made six tackles with one pass breakup and one fumble recovery.
