LATHAM, N.Y. – The United East Conference announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Jan. 13 and Gallaudet University sophomore guard/forward
Cam Lexow (Abington, Pa.) was named Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
Lexow led Gallaudet to a perfect 2-0 week in conference play as the Bison picked up two road wins. Lexow averaged 23.5 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks on the week while accumulating 47 points, 11 rebounds, nine steals, five assists and three blocks in 48 minutes played. Lexow shot .500 from the field (21 for 42).
St. Mary (Md.) freshman forward Kiera Mason was tabbed the Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
GU HONORS
This is Gallaudet's second United East Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor this season. This is Lexow's second United East Player of the Week award this season and third in her women's basketball career.
