NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the men's outdoor track and field All-America honorees for NCAA Division III this season and Gallaudet University senior sprinter Eric Gregory (Metairie, La.) picked up a program best three All-America honors. Gregory landed on the first team (twice) and got one second team nod.
Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and relays at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 23-25 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., took home First Team All-America honors, while those who placed ninth through 16th individually and ninth through 12th as part of a relay earned Second Team All-America. This is the first year with second team honors.
Gregory successfully defended his 400-meter dash national title for a third consecutive year as he crossed the finish line in 45.73 seconds to earn All-America First Team honors for a third straight year in that event. Gregory placed second in the 200-meter dash to earn All-America First Team honors for the second time in his career for that outdoor event. Gregory completed his trifecta with a 12th place finish in the 100-meter dash at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.to earn All-America Second Team honors.
Three All-America honors in one season is a school record and his total for the school year (2023-24) is four as he had one indoor All-America First Team honor. In his four-year career, Gregory finishes with eight total All-America honors (six outdoor, two indoor).
Gregory finishes his career as the most accomplished Gallaudet student-athlete in school history with three national championships, one National Track Athlete of the Year (2022), two South Region Track Athlete of the Year (2022, '24), eight All-America honors, 16 All-Region honors, four conference Track Athlete of the Year awards, three ECAC Outdoor Championship Men's Top Performer selections, to go with 14 player of the week accolades.
On the women's side, first-year sprinter Oceana Brown (Miami, Fla.) earned All-America First Team honors in the 200-meter dash. That was Brown's first All-America honor in her career.
