LATHAM, N.Y. - Gallaudet University junior
Omar Harvey (Newark, N.J.) was named to the 2026 United East Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field All-Sportsmanship Team as announced by the conference office.
The United East All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. Student-athletes selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. Each individual has been chosen by their coach as a representative who embodies the Division III spirit.
Harvey joins six other student-athletes, a representative from each conference member, on the All-Sportsmanship Team. Harvey participated in the 2026 United East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Keystone College earlier this month and placed 18th in the 200-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 24.95 seconds. He also competed in the 100-meter dash preliminaries, where he finished 20th overall with a time of 12.37 seconds. He did not advance to the finals in either event.
The seven student-athletes are ambassadors for their teams, both on and off the course, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. They exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.
