LA PLUME, Pa. – Gallaudet University had several podiums finishes on the second day of the 2026 United East Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships here Sunday at the Turf Field Athletic Complex on the campus of Keystone College.
First year
Sevan Ikeda (Fremont, Calif.) won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15 minutes and 23.95 seconds. Ikeda finished second in the 1,500-meter run when he crossed the finish line in 4:15.61.
Junior
Andrae' Green (Washington, D.C.) got on the podium with a third-place finish in the triple jump with a top leap of 13.26 meters (43 feet, six inches). This is Green's second straight podium finish in this event as he placed second in 2025.
A day after standing on the podium for his efforts in the hammer, junior
Andrew Suarez (Fairview, Texas) just missed a return trip to the podium with his two throwing events on Sunday. Suarez took fifth in the discus and shot put events with top tosses of 36.90 meters (121 feet, zero inches) and 12.66 meters (41 feet, 6.50 inches), respectively.
Gallaudet finished fourth out of eight teams with 44 team points. St. Mary's College of Maryland won its first United East men's outdoor track and field championship as the Seahawks won 10 of the 20 events to compile 240 team points. Penn State Harrisburg, the reigning United East champions, placed second with 212 team points while Lancaster Bible College rounds out the podium in third (164 team points). The Bison checked in at fourth followed by Penn St.-Abington in fifth (37), University of Valley Forge was sixth (28), the host Giants of Keystone took seventh (24) while Carlow University wrapped things up in eighth (21).
Lancaster Bible junior long-distance runner David Helms took home Track Athlete of the Year. St. Mary's freshman Solomon David went home with the Field Athlete of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards. Seahawk head coach Reava Potter swept the 2026 United East Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year awards as she was selected as the men's and women's coach of the year on Sunday.

- Green posted a season best time of 53.30 seconds in the 400-meter dash as he placed eighth
- Junior Navar Harris (Charleston, W.Va.) placed ninth in the shot put (12.17 meters)
- First year Akia Sloan (Washington, D.C.) was 10th in the shot put (11.20 meters)
- Sophomore Kila Silva-Ewan (Honolulu, Hawaii) was right behind Sloan in the shot put in 11th (10.88 meters)
- Sophomore Joe Bryan (Liberty, Mo.) finished 13th in the 800-meter run (2:18.85)
- First year Kendarrius Watkins (Fort Worth, Texas) finished 14th in the shot put (9.94 meters) and 16th in the discus (30.05 meters)
- First year Ibukunoluwa Oluoni (Dallas, Texas) was 20th in the discus (26.60 meters)
- Sophomore Mohamed Elsheikh (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) placed 21st in the 800-meter run (2:47.34)
- First year Widnuel Floreal (Melbourne, Fla.) finished 24th in the discus (22.00 meters)
