NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the men's outdoor track and field all-region honorees for NCAA Division III this season and Gallaudet University senior Eric Gregory (Metairie, La.) and junior Liam Painter (Edgewood, N.M.) earned All-Region honors.
Gregory earned All-Region honors in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dash events. This is Gregory's third straight year of picking up All-Region honors in those three sprint events. He now has 10 All-Region honors for outdoor track and field to go with six indoor All-Region honors for 16 total.
Painter picked up his first All-Region honor in the pole vault.
Gallaudet competes as a member of the United East Conference during the outdoor season in the South Region.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the track and field season.
USTFCCCA All-Region honors for indoor track & field and outdoor track & field for NCAA Division III started during the 2015-16 academic year. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
