Box Score AURORA, N.Y. - Gallaudet University battled the elements and Wells College here Friday night on the road as the Bison rolled to an 80-38 victory in a United East Conference game.
Gallaudet (12-7, 10-2 United East) has now won its last seven games. GU briefly trailed Wells (1-19, 1-11 United East) in the opening minutes before the buff and blue used an 11-2 run to take control of the game. The Bison led 21-10 after the first quarter and took a 47-16 lead into halftime.
Freshman guard Crystal Salit (Boyds, Md.) led the Bison with 17 points and four assists. Sophomore forward Cassidy Perry (Frederick, Md.) recorded her 13th double-double as she scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Senior guard Emelia Beldon (Frederick, Md.) added 11 points, five assists, five steals and three rebounds. Sophomore forward Serenity Fry (East Los Angeles, Calif.) poured in 11 points and four rebounds.
Sophomore forward Malia Zornoza (Riverside, Calif.) tallied 10 points and snatched 11 rebounds and made two steals.
From the bench, freshman forward Hannah Puent (Indianapolis, Ind.) collected eight points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Sophomore guard Sunita Schmidjorg (Austin, Texas) added six points, four assists and three steals.
The Express was led by sophomore forward Morgan Adams with 12 points and two rebounds.
