Box Score READING, Pa. - Gallaudet University rolled to its first United East Conference win of the season here Saturday as the Bison women's basketball team handed Penn St.-Berks an 82-31 defeat.
Gallaudet (2-4, 1-1 United East) scored the game's first 10 points and led 30-5 after the first 10 minutes of play. Penn St.-Berks (0-9, 0-2 United East) was held to single digits in three of the four quarters played. The Bison held a 44-20 lead at the half. GU used a 14-0 run in the third quarter as the Bison outscored the Nittany Lions 22-2 in that 10-minute frame.
GU celebrates its largest margin of victory since Dec. 4, 2018, when the Bison defeated Trinity Washington University by 67 points, 96-29.
Sophomores Cassidy Perry (Frederick, Md.) and Sunita Schmidjorg (Austin Texas) led the Bison with 17 points each. Perry recorded the double-double with 11 rebounds to go with five assists and two steals. Senior guard Emelia Beldon (Frederick, Md.) accumulated 14 points and passed out nine assists and finished the game with four rebounds and three steals.
Penn St.-Berks guard Emily Clapper led the Nittany Lions with eight points and three assists in the loss.

- Freshman forward Hannah Puent (Indianapolis, Ind.) had six points, seven rebounds and a steal
- Freshman guard Agatha Niemela (Malmo, Sweden) scored eight points, five rebounds and two assists off the bench
- Sophomore Ariel Senics (Fishers, Ind.) was third on the team with six boards
- Sophomore forward Serenity Fry (East Los Angeles, Calif.) had a game-high two blocks
- The Bison out rebounded the Nittany Lions, 44-27
- GU shot 52.1 percent (37-for-71) from the field
- The Bison received 33 points from their bench as they played 11 players in the game
- Gallaudet is averaging 82.5 points per game in its two wins this season
