Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Gallaudet University's women's basketball team rolled to a 76-65 win over Penn College on the road here Saturday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest in Bardo Gym.
All five starters on Gallaudet (5-10, 3-4 NEAC) finished in double figures. Junior Kendall Hudson (Blissfield, Mich.) and freshman Rajena Guettler (Frederick, Md.) led the way with 16 points and seven rebounds each. Freshman forward Cassidy Perry (Frederick, Md.) recorded 15 rebounds and five boards while junior Emelia Beldon (Frederick, Md.) and freshman Sunita Schmidjorg (Austin, Texas) finished with 11 points and five assists each.
Penn College (3-11, 1-6 NEAC) led early in the first quarter before Gallaudet went on an 8-1 run to take a 21-13 lead into the second quarter. The Bison controlled the game the rest of the way as they led 35-29 at the half and outscored the Wildcats, 41-36 in the second half.
The Wildcats had three players in double figures led by forward Ja'Quela Dyer as she recorded a double-double with 16 points and 19 rebounds to go with five steals before she fouled out of the game.
