Bison lose on the road against NEAC foe Penn St.-Harrisburg

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Gallaudet University women's basketball team dropped its 13th straight game Wednesday night as the Bison lost 64-52 on the road against North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) foe Penn St.-Harrisburg.

Gallaudet (2-13, 0-8 NEAC) remains winless in conference play and on the road this season. The Bison trailed for the majority of the game as Penn St.-Harrisburg (9-5, 5-2 NEAC) took a 33-23 lead into halftime.

Senior forward Lindsay Stergio (Montville, Conn.) led the Bison with 15 points and 10 rebounds to record her fifth double-double of her career at GU. She added four assists and three steals. Senior Amy Bachtel (Columbus, Ohio) came off the bench to net nine points while sophomore Claire Tucker (Middletown, Md.) added eight points.

The Nittany Lions were led by Mercedes Copeland, who recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds, one of three players to reach double figures for the home team. Penn St.-Harrisburg has won four straight against the Bison.

Gallaudet will next face SUNY Cobleskill (4-9, 3-4 NEAC) on Sunday, Jan. 21, at noon.
