WASHINGTON, DC- The Lady Bison
dropped both ends of their double-header today versus Lincoln
University 9-5 and 22-12.
In Game one, Sophomore Alicia Balzer pitched
a complete game allowing all 9 runs.
Leading Gallaudet offensively was Senior Caitlin
Mosholder, Junior Colleen Caverly,
and first year player Phyllis Steele
all batting 2 for 4.
The second game started badly for the Bison as Lincoln jumped
out to a 14-0 lead after just three innings.
Balzer pitched the second game after the Bison fell
behind 10-0. Gallaudet then started to rally as they
closed the score to 14-7. That was as close as the Bison
would get as the Lions pulled away to win the game
22-12.
Gallaudet is back in action on March 12th as they play host to
Capital Athletic Conference foe Stevenson University. First
pitch is slated for 2:30.
