WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Buff and Blue took on the visiting Mustangs of Villa Julie College at the Field House tonight.  Villa Julie prevailed, 57-54.

At the half, the Mustangs took a 25-23 lead to the locker room. For Gallaudet, Nukeitra Hayes led with 14 points and 5 rebounds, next to Brittainy Payne's 7 points and 4 rebounds. Tanisha Foster had 10 points and 7 rebounds for the visitors.

During the second half, tight play resumed as Gallaudet worked towards averting a season sweep at the hands of Villa Julie. The Mustangs built a lead as large as 10 points, but the Buff and Blue relied on the shooting of freshman Hayes to keep the home team in the fight.

Gallaudet had a chance with 11 seconds on the clock, but could not convert a 54-54 tie into a lead to take the win. The Mustangs sank free throws as time expired to take the win, and the season sweep.

Hayes finished the night matching her career high of 32 points, and she had 14 rebounds to lead the Bison. The freshman also added two blocks.

Mustang Tanisha Foster finished with a game high 19 rebounds, with Tonia Cristino's 14 points leading the visitors.

Brittainy Payne finished with 9 points and 7 rebounds, while Priscilla Biskupiak had 8 rebounds.

Gallaudet (3-16, 0-12 CAC) travels to Mary Washington on February 9. Tip time is set for 4:00 p.m.
