ST.MARY'S CITY, Md.--Brittainy Payne led the Bison with another
double-double, posting 19 points and pulling down 12 rebounds as
Gallaudet fell to St. Mary's, 82-41.
The 82-41 decision was an improvement next to the first matchup
between these schools. St. Mary had taken the first game 101-26 on
January 16.
Freshman Nukeitra Hayes had 12 points and 6 rebounds, including
2 assists and a block. Gallaudet was 78% from the free throw line,
making all but two of the team's 9 opportunities (7-for-9).
The Bison outrebounded the Seahawks 38-33 behind Payne's
game-high 12 rebounds.
Gallaudet (3-19, 0-15 CAC) takes on McDaniel College Monday
February 18 at home, on Think Pink Night. Tip time is at 7:30
p.m.
