second year at Gallaudet is off to a great start as the Bison
defeated Christendom 78-44 today to go 2-0 on the season. The Bison
hounded Christendom all night, forcing Christendom to work for
every shot.
The defense held Christendom to 20-59 shooting from the floor
and caused 28 turnovers, including 11 steals, and scored multiple
baskets on fast break opportunities. 4 players had at least two

On offense, Gallaudet made over half their shots, going 36-70.

Hayes led the way with 22 points on 10-17 shooting, and blocked
3 shots. Lani
Murashige provided an offensive spark scoring 14 points and
dishing out 5 assists. Brittainy Payne
scored 9 points and had 11 rebounds. Amanda Krieger added
12 points.
The relentless pressure by the Gallaudet defense wore down
Christendom as a 28-25 halftime lead led to a second half where
Gallaudet outscored Christendom 50-19, forcing numerous mistakes
off which Gallaudet was able to score easy baskets. The Bison
outrebounded Christendom 25-15 for the game.
This weekend, Gallaudet hosts the Gallaudet Tournament Saturday
and Sunday in the Field House.
