WESTMINSTER, Md. - The Gallaudet University men's swimming team headed north to Maryland on Saturday to McDaniel College for a non-conference tri-meet against Goucher College and the host Green Terror.

The Bison (0-10) lost to Goucher, 63-13, and lost to McDaniel, 84-6. The Green Terror defeated the Gophers, 66-27, as McDaniel improved its record to 4-7 and Goucher's split gives them a 3-6 mark.

McDaniel is coached by former Gallaudet swimming head coach
Bill Snape, who led the Bison swim program from 2004-12 and coached current Gallaudet head coach
Brian Bennett (2009-12). This marked the third straight season these two programs have swam against each other.

Sophomore
Alex Wilding (Santa Fe, N.M.) was the only Gallaudet swimmer in the 400-yard IM and was third to touch the wall (6:12.45). Later in the meet, Wilding represented the Bison in the 100-yard breaststroke and recorded a fourth-place finish against McDaniel and Goucher opponents (1:24.65).Â

Abdullah Alghamdi (Dammam, Saudi Arabia), junior
Trent Mora (Austin, Texas), first yearÂ
Nathan Sheppeck (Frederick, Md.) and first year
Giovanni Fiello (Austin, Texas)Â had a bronze finish (5:12.66). Alghamdi made his return to the team since the first home meet of the season back on Nov. 1, 2025, while Fiello made his season debut.Â
BISON TRACKS
- Sophomore Allen Davis (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) was fifth in the 500-yard freestyle (8:37.15) as he took 47 seconds off his previous best time
- Davis finished fifth in the 200-yard freestyle (3:02.23)
- First year Jordan Antonio (Rochester, N.Y.) was fifth in the 100-yard backstroke (2:07.13) and sixth in the 50-yard freestyle (35.71)
- Alghamdi was fifth in the 100-yard freestyle (1:12.74)
- First year Connor Levy (Odessa, Mo.) was seventh in the 50-yard freestyle (1:06.18)
UP NEXT
GU will take the next three weeks to prepare for the 2026 Atlantic East Conference swimming championships that will be held in St. Mary's City, Md., from February 12-15. The first day of action begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12.
