GU swimming teams earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors for Spring 2026

RICHMOND, Va. – The Gallaudet University men's and women's swimming teams were recognized by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) with a Scholar All-America Team Award for the Spring 2026 semester.

The CSCAA presents Scholar All-America Team Awards biannually, once for the fall semester and again in the winter/spring semester, for teams that post a combined team GPA above 3.0 for that semester.

The Bison women's team, 10 student-athletes, posted a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 during the spring semester to earn this honor while the men's team, four student-athletes, had a 3.60 team GPA.

This is the ninth time the Gallaudet women's swimming program has been honored by the CSCAA (Spring 2021, Fall 2022, Spring 2023, Fall 2023, Spring 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026) while the men's team has been honored six times (Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Spring 2023, Spring 2024, Fall 2025, Spring 2026).

The CSCAA selected 714 teams from 418 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2026 semester. Teams were selected based on their Spring 2026 team grade point averages and represent 16,680 student-athletes. A total of 153 Division III women's swimming teams and 135 Division III men's swimming teams were honored.

The Atlantic East Conference (AEC) is well represented by Cedar Crest College (women), Marywood University (men's and women's) and St. Mary's College of Maryland (men's and women's).

In Division III, Colorado College had the highest women's team GPA with a 3.92 while Stevenson University men's team had the highest men's team GPA (3.95).

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA, is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
