ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Gallaudet University men's team finished out the 2026 Atlantic East Conference swimming championships here Sunday evening at The Aquatics Center at the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center on the campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland.
The final day of the competition began this morning with preliminary events in which GU swam for qualification in the finals that evening. A placement of 16th and above qualifies a swimmer for the final competition.
First year
Jordan Antonio (Rochester, N.Y.) was the sole Bison swimmer in the 100-yard freestyle and finished the race in 14th place with a time of 1:29.51.
Sophomore
Alex Wilding (Santa Fe, N.M.) represented the buff and blue in the 200-yard breaststroke with a ninth place finish (2:57.84).
Gallaudet finished fifth out of five teams with 41 total points. The Bison trio left it all in the pool at the championship meet this weekend with many swimmers setting personal best times.
Defending champion Marymount (Va.) University took home its fourth straight championship with an untouchable 1,014 team points. St. Mary's (Md.) secured second with their own astounding score of 831 points. Marywood University recorded a third-place finish with 315 points, followed by Immaculata University in fourth (219) and Gallaudet University in fifth (41).
