LATHAM, N.Y. – The United East Conference announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Sept. 8 and Gallaudet University senior setter
Ella Gamble (Cullowhee, NC) was named the Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
Gamble was the driving force behind Gallaudet's 2–1 performance at the New York University Invitational, running the offense with 110 assists (10.0 per set) and adding an exceptional presence from the service line with 13 aces. She played her best in the biggest moments, including seven aces and 49 assists in a five-set win over Stevens, where she served three straight aces to spark a decisive 10–0 run in the final set. Gamble also contributed 21 digs and six blocks, showcasing her all-around impact in the Bison's bounce-back week.
Lancaster Bible College senior Madison Timberlake was named the United East Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after a standout week, averaging 5.83 digs per set across two matches.
GU HONORS
This is Gallaudet's second United East Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors this season. This is the seventh United East weekly honor for Gamble in their volleyball career.
