WASHINGTON – The No. 3 seed Gallaudet University women's basketball team will take to Padden Court this Saturday, Feb. 22, against No. 6 seed Penn State Harrisburg in the quarterfinal round of the United East tournament at 2 p.m. in the Field House.
Tickets are on sale for $5 for general admission, $3 for high school/middle school students and free for children under the age of 12. You can purchase tickets in advance here:

This will be the third meeting between the two schools this season. GU split the season series as the Bison won, 81-76, at home on Dec. 4, and lost last month (Jan. 28) on the road, 80-64. That loss snapped an eight-game win streak for the Bison. Gallaudet won four straight games after that setback before a heartbreaking overtime loss last Saturday at Bryn Athyn College to close out the regular-season schedule. The Lions have won three straight games including a 60-51 first round home win over No. 11 seed Lancaster Bible College this past Wednesday.
Gallaudet (15-10) and Penn St.-Harrisburg (18-8) have played 16 times since the 2010-11 season. The Lions hold a 12-4 edge in the all-time series. The two teams have never met in the postseason.
The Bison have a deep team with a strong senior class that has a lot of big-game experience. GU is led by
Cam Lexow (Abington, Pa.) who averages 15.1 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. Lexow leads the United East with 83 steals and 56 blocks. Senior guard
Raj Guettler (Frederick, Md.) is second on the team with 11.9 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game, a team-high mark. Guettler is 33 points away from 1,000 career points. Senior guard
Claire Ruiz-Tucker (Middletown, Md.) joins Guettler in the backcourt and is second on the team with 93 assists. Upfront the Bison will lean on junior center
Hannah Puent (Indianapolis, Ind.), senior center
Alexis Roberts (Newton, Miss.) and first year
Mackenzie Schirg (Factoryville, Pa.). Senior guard
Crystal Salit (Boyds, Md.) is a sharpshooter from the outside with a team-high 26 3-pointers.
Penn St.-Harrisburg is led by graduate student forward Jordan Carpenter who leads the league in scoring with 512 points and a 19.7 points per game average along with 10.5 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Mikayla Coleman is second on the team with 13.8 points per game.
GU lost last year to Penn St.-Abington in the Volt Division semifinal round at home. Penn St.-Harrisburg went on to win its first-ever United East championship last season and represent the conference in the 2024 NCAA Division III tournament.
The winner of the quarterfinal game will advance to the semifinal round and face the winner between No. 2 seed Penn St.-Abington and No. 7 seed Notre Dame of Maryland University on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the site of the highest remaining seed.
