VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – After a long hiatus the Gallaudet women's indoor track and field team returned to action here Friday at the Marlin Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University. The Bison competed against Division I, II and III teams at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, the same location as last year's NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.
There were no team scores at the Marlin Invitational.
Senior
Midajah Davis (Roanoke, Va.) finished fifth in the shot put with a top toss of 12.16 meters (39 feet, 10.75 inches). Davis reached 12.16 meters on the fifth of six throws. This is the second time this season that Davis recorded 12.16 meters in the shot put.
First-year jumper
Brielle Worley (Amarillo, Texas) took 19th in the long jump with a leap of 3.76 meters (12 feet, four inches).
Sophomore sprinter
Priscilla Berrios (Miami, Fla.) placed 28th in the 60-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 9.75 seconds. Berrios finished 32nd in the 200-meter dash (33.87).
First year
Lou Cherena (El Paso, Texas) finished 22nd in the 400-meter dash (1:21.20) and 32nd in the 800-meter run (3:21.46).
First year
Olivia Armstrong (Rotterdam, N.Y.) took 25th place in the mile run as she crossed the finish line 7:18.31.

Gallaudet will next participate in the Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa., on Saturday, Feb. 8.
