LATHAM, N.Y. - Gallaudet University sophomore sprinter
Priscilla Berrios (Miami, Fla.) was named to the 2024-25 United East Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Sportsmanship Team as announced by the conference office.
The United East All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. Student-athletes selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. Each individual has been chosen by their coach as a representative who embodies the Division III spirit.
Berrios joins four other student-athletes, a representative from each conference member, on the All-Sportsmanship Team. This season, she placed ninth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 32.21 seconds, a new season best. Berrios participated in the 60-meter dash preliminaries and finished ninth with a season best time of 9.46 seconds but did not advance to the final at the United East Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The five student-athletes are ambassadors for their teams, both on and off the course, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. They exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.
