Midajah Davis (Roanoke, Va.) won the women's shot put event here Friday at the 2025 United East Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Center just outside of the District of Columbia.
Davis won the event on her last throw that traveled 12.17 meters (39 feet, 11.25 inches) to earn 10 team points for Gallaudet, who finished fifth overall in the team standings. Davis got close on her fourth throw as it landed at 11.85 meters (38 feet, 10.50 inches) but was still short of first-place. On her fifth toss Davis committed a foul, her second in the event, to set the stage for her sixth and final throw that gave her first place.
This was the second straight year that Davis won the shot put event. Last season, at the same venue, Davis had a top toss of 12.37 meters (40 feet, seven inches).
