MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – The Gallaudet University women's triathlon team finished 10th overall here Sunday at the Robious Landing Triathlon hosted by Live Red Foundation at Robious Landing Park just outside of Richmond.
Due to the lingering effects of Hurricane Helene, the James River was deemed unsafe to swim as the swimming portion of the race was cancelled. The slated triathlon changed to a duathlon as student-athletes had to complete a mile run, a 20K draft-legal bike ride (four laps) and a 5K run that used trails and neighborhood roads.
