WASHINGTON – Gallaudet University women's volleyball head coach
Lynn Ray Boren have announced the upcoming 2024 schedule. The schedule features 14 home matches, seven road matches and 11 neutral site matches for the Bison. It will be Coach Boren's 19th season entering this fall.
Gallaudet will begin with a tournament on Labor Day weekend where they will be heading to Gettysburg, Pa., for the Battlefield Classic hosted by Gettysburg College.
The month of September will feature two tournaments and many opportunities for the Bison to test themselves against NCAA tournament competition. GU will travel to Owings Mills, Md., for the Stevenson University Quad hosted by the Mustangs (Sept. 6-7). The Bison return to Padden Court for their home debut with a non-conference contest vs. Marymount (Va.) University (Sept. 11). After that, GU will fly to the state of Massachusetts to participate in the Bonnie May Invitational hosted by Smith College (Sept. 13-14). GU will have two mid-week road matches at Hood College (Sept. 19) and home contest against Goucher College (Sept. 25) before wrapping up the month of September hosting four other teams at the annual Worthington Classic (Sept. 27-28).
The buff and blue begin United East Conference play to start the month of October with a road contest at St. Mary's College of Maryland (Oct. 1). GU will host a tri-meet with Penn St.-Brandywine and Trinity Washington University (Oct. 5), and then host two home matches against Cedar Crest College (Oct. 9) and Washington Adventist University (Oct. 10). GU will travel up to the state of Pennsylvania to take on Penn St.- Abington (Oct. 12) and Penn St.- Harrisburg (Oct. 15). Gallaudet will host homecoming meets against Penn College and McDaniel College on Saturday, Oct. 19. GU will host Lancaster Bible College (Oct. 23) before the Bison travel up to Langhorne, Pa., to take on Cairn University. Gallaudet will close out the home regular-season schedule against University of Valley Forge (Oct. 29) and celebrate its senior class on Senior Night. The Bison will wrap up the regular-season at Rosemont College (Nov 2).
Gallaudet, the defending United East conference champions, will set sights on the conference tournament that will run from Nov. 6-16.
All home matches will be played in the Field House on Padden Court.
