Box Score JENKINTOWN, Pa. - Five different Gallaudet University women's basketball players finished Wednesday night's United East Conference game in double figures on the road at Penn St.-Abington.
Gallaudet (6-7, 4-2 United East) got back in the win column with a 79-46 win over over the Nittany Lions (4-9, 3-2 United East).
The Bison jumped out to a 19-11 lead through the opening quarter and took a 35-24 lead into intermission.
In the second half, GU outscored the Nittany Lions 44-22 and held a 23-7 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Sophomore Malia Zornoza (Riverside, Calif.) scored a team-high 15 points off the bench and completed the double-double with a career-high 14 rebounds and four steals. Sophomore Cassidy Perry (Frederick, Md.) tallied a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds while senior guard Emelia Beldon (Frederick, Md.) added 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Sophomores Serenity Fry (East Los Angeles, Calif.) and Sunita Schmidjorg (Austin, Texas) added 11 points each.
Penn St.-Abington was paced by forward Angela Sanders' 19-point game.
