SWEET BRIAR, Va. - The Gallaudet University men's swimming and diving program dropped a non-conference meet to Hampden-Sydney College, 128-76, here Saturday on the campus of Sweet Briar College.
Senior Jonathan Tikhonoff (Folsom, Calif.) led the way for the Bison with two first-place finished and nearly won a third event. He won the 100-meter butterfly (1:02.72) and the 400-meter freestyle (4:44.69) events. Tikhonoff crushed the 400 freestyle as he was over 18 seconds ahead of the second place finisher. He just barely lost the 800-meter freestyle event as he finished second with a time of 9:44.52. He was was just 21 one hundredths of a second behind Anthony Vinson from Hampden-Sydney, who touched in 9:44.31.
Freshman Benjamin Sealts (Ottawa, Ohio) won a trio of events in the 100-meter backstroke (1:02.76), 100-meter breaststroke (1:13.78) and 200-meter IM (2:18.28) events.
Sophomore Chris Martinez (El Paso, Texas) picked up several second-place finishes in the 100- and 200-meter freestyle events with times of 1:00.35 and 2:15.80, respectively.

- Sophomore Lukas Morkevicius (Seattle, Wash.) was third in the 50-meter freestyle (34.79 seconds)
- GU's 200-meter freestyle relay team of Morkevicius, senior David Bruno (Patchogue, N.Y.), freshman Aidan Southard (Baltimore, Md.), junior Julian Simons (Austin, Texas) finished third with a time of 2:35.57
