Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Gallaudet women's volleyball battled against University of Mary Washington on the road Wednesday night but fell short in four sets; 20-25, 23-25, 25-17, 17-25 in the non-conference match at the Anderson Center.
Senior outside hitter Kali Frowick (Norfolk, Neb.), has led the team in kills in nearly every match this season, acted no different tonight with 15 kills in her four sets played. Junior Danielle Morris (St. Louis, Mich.) and sophomore Giuletta Maucere (Frederick, Md.) combined to add 14 more kills on 30 attack attempts and two errors. Junior libero Kate Fetzer (Noblesville, Ind.) tallied 13 digs while Frowick made 11 digs to earn her sixth double-double of the season. Junior setter TraciAnn Hoglind (Fishers, Ind.) passed out 26 assists and recorded seven digs. The Bison (7-8) had seven service aces and seven total blocks against the Eagles (11-4).
Rachel Hendricks led the Eagles offense with 16 kills on 44 attack attempts to go with seven digs.
The women's volleyball team will be back home Friday and Saturday (Sept. 26 and 27) to host the Worthington Classic starting at 2 p.m. in the Field House gym.
