Box Score 2 AURORA, N.Y. - The Gallaudet University women's volleyball team raked in two more conference wins Sunday at Wells College as the Bison defeated Morrisville State and SUNYIT in straight sets. The Bison complete a 4-0 weekend as GU remains perfect in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play.
Gallaudet (7-7, 4-0 NEAC) defeated Morrisville in three sets; 25-17, 25-16, 25-10, as the Bison recorded 32 kills in the match. GU turned around and quickly defeated SUNYIT; 25-12, 25-13, 25-18, as the Bison served up 10 service aces.
Senior captain Kali Frowick (Norfolk, Neb.) had another impressive day on the court leading both match wins with 20 total kills and 15 digs in her six sets played. Frowick and junior Molly Perkins (Apple Valley, Minn.) had nine kills each against the Mustangs (3-10, 1-3 NEAC). Junior Kate Fetzer (Noblesville, Ind.) had a team best 16 digs while junior TraciAnn Hoglind (Fishers, Ind.) had nine digs as well as 27 assists.
Frowick and junior Danielle Morris (St. Louis, Mich.) continued the attack in the second match against SUNYIT with 11 kills each as the team tallied 42 kills. Hoglind had every assist of the match (41) and Fetzer had 10 digs against the Wildcats (8-7, 3-1 NEAC).
The Bison volleyball team will travel to the University of Mary Washington (10-4) in Fredericksburg, Va., on the Wednesday, Sept. 24, for a non-conference match at 7 p.m.
