Bison run into a 3-point Storm in the second half

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – A strong second half by Keuka College handed Gallaudet University a 64-46 loss on the road Saturday between the two North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) men's basketball teams. Gallaudet went into halftime up five, 24-19, but that lead quickly evaporated behind seven 3-pointers made by the Storm to start the second half. The Storm went on a 32-12 run and outscored the Bison 45-22 in the final 20 minutes of regulation. Keuka was 0-for-11 from 3-point range in the first half but made 8-of-12 shots in the second half.

Gallaudet (7-9, 3-3 NEAC South Division) had its two-game win streak snapped as Keuka (6-7, 4-1 NEAC North) won its third consecutive game as the Storm hold down first place in the NEAC North Division.

Senior guard Layton Seeber (Champaign, Ill.) scored a team-high 16 points to go with three assists, two rebounds and two steals. Senior center Danny Kelly (Strongsville, Ohio) came off the bench to net 11 points while junior forward Orion Palmer (Riverside, Calif.) grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds.

Teddy Tuggles led the Storm with 21 points and four rebounds as he was one of four players to reach double digits for points. Trevor Healey made 8-of-14 shots to record a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds while teammates Jared Wagner and Adam Starks scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.

The Bison remain in upstate New York to face Wells (6-8, 2-2 NEAC North) tomorrow (Sunday, Jan. 13) at 2 p.m. in another NEAC contest.
